Digital music news has reported a California federal court has denied a request by The Weeknd to reduce the scope of a copyright infringement lawsuit brought against him by three British songwriters who believe his song “A Lonely Night” plagiarizes theirs.

The U.S. Copyright Office has proposed the adoption of new a fee schedule for certain Office services, including for applications to register copyrights, record documents, and issue certifications, among others. Congress authorized the Register to set and adjust Copyright Office fees that are fair, equitable, and give due consideration to the objectives of the copyright system.
